  • Education: Appalachian State University; bachelor’s degree in outdoor education
  • Certification: Wilderness first responder
  • What excites you the most about working for AT this summer? I’m so excited to watch our incredible students push out of their comfort zones and discover their true strength and capabilities.
  • Favorite outdoor memory? Running up a mountain on the Art Loeb Trail with a group of campers to catch the sunset in time. My favorite part of this memory was that as the sun was setting, the entire group fell completely silent, in total awe of the beauty surrounding us. I could feel the overwhelming sense of accomplishment and wonder uniting us.
  • Favorite quote: “It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.” – Edmund Hillary
