Rosy is from the Berkshire mountains of Massachusetts. She started backpacking in Vermont at the Putney School where she attended high school, and continued leading outdoors trips at Cornell University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and environmental sciences. She spent a semester studying abroad in New Zealand, a year working in Costa Rica, and the next year working on an educational farm. She recently earned a master’s degree in education at the University of Pennsylvania and is now teaching high school science in Boston. She is a Wilderness First Responder and is joining Adventure Treks for her first season as a instructor.
