Instructor, California Challenge 1 & Pacific Northwest Explorer

Hailing from the woods of central Vermont, Torin is joining Adventure Treks for his third​ ​season​ ​as​ ​an​ ​instructor​. Torin completed two courses with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in New Zealand and in the Rocky Mountains. The past several winters, he’s taught snowboard lessons at Bolton Valley Resort in Vermont; there, he earned a level one and free-style certification with the American Association of Snowboard Instructors. He’s also taught mountain biking and kayaking clinics to kids at Camp Birch Hill in New Hampshire and served on the Green Mountain Club volunteer trail-building crew. 

  • Education: Franklin and Marshall College; bachelor’s degree in history
