Instructor, Colorado Explorer 1, 2, & 3

Hailing from the woods of central Vermont, Torin is joining Adventure Treks for his first​ ​season​ ​as​ ​an​ ​instructor​. Torin completed two courses with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in New Zealand and in the Rocky Mountains. He loves spending times in the wilderness particularly mountain biking and backpacking.  He is currently a snowboard instructor at Killington Mountain.

  • Education: Franklin and Marshall College; bachelor’s degree in history
  • What excites you the most about working for AT this summer? Finding awesome places to camp with even more awesome students. 
  • What do you do when not working for AT? Snowboarding, mountain biking, playing soccer and basketball, making bread, and cliff-jumping into Vermont’s mountain pools.
  • Favorite outdoor memory? Anytime I’m inside a tent while it’s raining.
