Trip leader: California Challenge 2

Wyatt returns to Adventure Treks for his third season as a trip leader. He was born in California but grew up in Santa Fe, NM. After working most summers on his family’s ranch, he spent his university years guiding rock and ice climbing, backpacking, mountaineering, and kayaking trips in Colorado and northern NM. He also worked as a research intern at Adams State, studying the potential spread of a fungus from bats to carnivores. Most recently, he worked as a snowsports instructor in Steamboat Springs, CO.

  • Medical and outdoor certifications: Wilderness first responder, AIARE/AAI avalanche level 1, AMGA level 1 alpine guide, PSIA ski instructor
  • Favorite outdoor memory: Spending a night at the summit of Colorado’s second highest fourteener Mt. Massive, in a bivy sac.
  • Favorite hobbies: Rock climbing is always my passion, with skiing coming in second. I also love to play Magic the Gathering.
