Jill

Admissions coordinator

Having spent many years living in Vail, CO, Jill now calls the mountains of North Carolina home! Before coming to Adventure Treks, Jill was the administrative manager for her husband’s construction firm in Vail. But Jill’s heart has always been in camp and youth development industry: In Vail, she worked for the city’s recreation department as both a gymnastics instructor and coach, and she managed the city’s summer camps. She’s been a Montessori teacher and guide, the assistant camp director for Anderson Western Colorado Camps, and a camp director in Northbrook, IL. She also understands what it means to be a “camp mom,” having sent her own daughter to camp for many years!

Education

Marquette University, bachelor’s degree in psychology

Favorite hobbies

Hiking in the outdoors, sitting by a fire, and wooden puzzles

Favorite outdoor achievement

Summiting Mount of the Holy Cross in the Holy Cross Wilderness of the White River National Forest. I’ve hiked many 14ers in Colorado, but this was longest and most difficult in one day.

Favorite outdoor memory

Rafting the Gates of Lodore on the Green River inside Dinosaur National monument. We dropped everyone at the put-in, drove an overnight shuttle to the take-out, hiked to a dirt airstrip in the morning, got picked up by a small plane, and flew back to the put-in, flying low to scout the river where we would be rafting the next seven days.

Favorite place in the world

On any mountain with a view!

What are you most looking forward to this summer?

Meeting new people, families, instructors, and students, and helping to provide fun and lasting memories.
