Application process
Once we receive your resume, we will email qualified candidates a link to our staff application. After we have received your completed application, we can begin our thorough interview process, which includes three interviews with the director team to ensure that we are a good match for each other. We also require four professional references and will perform a full background check.
This hiring process is time-intensive, but we have found it to be the best way to create the best instructor teams possible. Most instructor applicants are impressed with the thoroughness of our interview process.
Application deadlines
Adventure Treks will have two application deadlines throughout the year:
- December 15
- March 1
- April 15 (though we are often fully staffed by early to mid-March)
Applications will be considered until we are fully staffed.
Tips for preparing for your interview
- Review our job description and your strengths. You not only want to be informed about what we’re looking for, but also how you meet our requirements.
- Research us to understand our mission, culture, and what we do. It’s important to get to know Adventure Treks before speaking with us.
- Think through and rehearse your responses to common interview questions.
- Prepare a few questions to show your interest and engagement in being an instructor.
- Be on time and communicate. Let us know as soon as possible if there is a conflict in your schedule, if you’re running late, or if are no longer interested in interviewing.
- Look and sound like a professional. Two interviews are over the phone, and one is over Google Meet.
