Originally from Louisiana, Addison now calls Saskatchewan, Canada, home, where she works on her family’s farm. She also works as a softball coach for kids ages 7 to 14. During her time at Dartmouth, Addison led multi-day backpacking trips for the university’s outing club. She’s also backpacked in Arches and Canyonlands national parks and completed the Salkantay Trek in Peru. She’s led a rock climbing trip in Acadia National Park, and she’s also worked as a nanny.

Peru is a vibrant, spiritual place shaped by generous, open people. It was the first country I backpacked through, and it changed the way I think about travel—less about getting somewhere, and more about moving through a place on foot, in conversation with the people you meet along the way.
