Originally from Nashville, TN, Claire currently calls Colorado Springs, CO, home. As a middle and high schooler, Claire spend six summers with AT as a student! Claire spent most years at Colorado College as the co-chair for an outdoor recreation and environmental science club that leads activities for middle schoolers. She also spent a summer at the Juneau Icefield Research Program as a research intern, living in backcountry camps for two months.

If I am playing outside I love to hike, backpack, and ski. I love being outside in the field for scientific research doing field work, especially when it means I get to study glaciers! When I am not getting my outside time, I play the fiddle in a bluegrass band.

So many!!! But one that sticks out is summiting Mt. Shasta with some of my best friends at Adventure Treks.
I think Alaska has got to be one of my favorite places in the world. The mountains there are a different kind of magic.
I am looking forward to meeting all the students and building a unique, strong, and special community. And dance parties! Lots of dance parties.
