Born in Oregon but a Coloradoan at heart, Sammy most recently worked as a program leader for the Outdoor School Oregon, facilitating activities for 6th graders and mentoring young adults 15 and up. While in school at CU, Sammy worked with TGTHR (We Can End Youth Homelessness) as a youth support specialist. Prior to that, he was a resident advisor, program lead at a day camp in CO, and counselor at another camp in Portland.

Tough question. I think it has to be Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. I’ve spent so much of my life snowboarding, hiking, soaking in hot springs, and exploring there, but it never gets old.
Doing hard things and challenging myself to grow in new ways and supporting others in their own growth process… and not always having cell service!
