Favorite hobbies
I am an avid backcountry skier and love ski touring all around northern Vermont and New Hampshire, searching for deep snow and steep spring corn! I love outdoor adventure photography and filmmaking and have enjoyed being a part of the marketing team at Vermont State University to showcase our program and bring camera to incredible places. I also almost always have at least one hacky sack on me that is ready to be drawn at all times for a game!
Favorite outdoor achievement
In 2022, I completed a presidential traverse in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with several people from my university. We had spent a lot of time backpacking that fall together, and wrapping up the season with this traverse felt incredibly accomplishing and gave me a sense of friendship and camaraderie I continue to remember and draw upon.
Favorite outdoor memory
This winter, I travelled to Cooke City, MT, for an avalanche course and two-week backcountry ski expedition. I will remember some of those powder turns for the rest of my life! Amazing skiing, constant laughter, and smelly yurts have a special place in my heart.
Favorite place in the world
My favorite place in the world is the White Mountains of New Hampshire. My family has been coming to this area since before I can remember and as I have grown, the adventures I’ve been able to do in this range have grown as well. It has a special place in my heart as I continue to come back again and again to complete things I’ve been dreaming of doing while also thinking up new adventures.
What are you most looking forward to this summer?
I am looking forward to inspiration. I want to give students at Adventure Treks the confidence and inspiration to move forward with their own recreational pursuits and see how a life outdoors can have an incredibly positive and life-changing impact on them. I also look forward to seeing how students and other instructors inspire me! I think we all can continue to learn a lot from each other and there is no better place to do so than with a group of motivated people in a beautiful place outdoors.
