Originally from Alabama, Elizabeth headed north for school and still resides in the mountains of North Carolina. There, she works as an instructor for Mountain Alliance, an outdoor and service/volunteer program for local youth. She’s also been a ski instructor near Boone, NC, and counselor at a camp in Alabama. She completed a semester trip in the Rockies with the National Outdoor Leadership School, which focused on backpacking, rock climbing, and paddling.

  • Certification: Emergency medical technician, Leave No Trace master educator, avalanche level 1
  • Favorite outdoor memory: Backpacking across the Continental Divide.
  • Favorite outdoor achievement: Building and living in quinzhees for two weeks on a backcountry ski trip.
