Patrick

Instructor

A native of Vermont, Patrick spent his fall working as a mountain bike instructor in the northeast, before heading west to be a ski instructor at Monarch Mountain in Colorado. He’s also spent several winter seasons as a ski instructor in Vermont. Prior to that, he was a trip leader at Camp Pinnacle and a counselor at Green Mountain Conservation Camp. He also spent time in AmeriCorps in Boston, working with teachers, tutoring students, and leading community service projects.

  • Education: Northern Vermont University, bachelor’s degree in outdoor education and leadership
  • Certification: Wilderness first responder, ACA swiftwater rescue, AIARE avalanche level 1
  • Favorite outdoor memory: Watching a mama raccoon and her babies rooting around for sea critters in a tidal pool on the Olympic Peninsula last summer with Adventure Treks students.
  • Favorite outdoor achievement: Got my backside 3s and board slides down this winter!
  • Favorite place you’ve visited: Bentonville, AR
  • Favorite hobbies: Exploring pristine wilderness areas while helping students become more self-aware and effective leaders.
