Update from instructor Jenna:
Last night, we returned from the backpack and faced off in the AT tradition Mexi Cook-off. Students worked wonderfully together to present a beautiful meal, and instructors acted as the judges. Really, everyone won! Today, we went to the Nantahala Outdoor Center to go inflatable kayaking. Kids had smiles all day long, ridiculous splash fights, and navigatedthe final rapid, Nantahala Falls, excellently! Following the ducky, we were able to watch some very impressive whitewater kayakers playing around the race course. Tonight, we will be headed to camp at Camp Pinnacle and get to swim at the water front! There may even be some fire-making and s’mores…
